David Strakey - Email To the Bbc

Dear BBC New’s,
I am Ayan Khaire I am a student and training journalist and live in a black community and m black myself, I would just like to send this email to ask for the what has been solved consider that Mr Starkey’s comment on Black Background caused this routes, there a lot of off black community that are very upset about his comment on you channel, was it wise yours to go live without not hearing what people have to say on your broadcasting channel, and I am pretty sure not only the black community have up sated but this broadcasted news that just have put the black community more look down apuon from trying to come with good names out of it such as having a lot off successful black people. I’m sure that you are aware off that people was upset and angry for something which is complete wrong and very disrespectful but I am sure that you will not have this kind of situation or disrespected comments on your live broadcasted channel and also show your sensor apologise to the black community?

even do my thoughts on the comment was every negative and felt it was so wrong, david strakey did break the rules by breaking the audiences privacy and using race to get attention, here are the guidelines ; Audiences are at the heart of everything we do.
We are committed to giving them high-quality, original and at times challenging output.  Creativity is the lifeblood of our organisation.
Equally, we must give our audiences content made to the highest editorial and ethical standards.  Their trust depends on it.
We must therefore balance our presumption of freedom of expression with our responsibilities, for example to respect privacy, to be fair, to avoid unjustifiable offence and to provide appropriate protection for our audiences from harm.
(Note: The Human Rights Act 1998 recognises the right to freedom of expression, which includes the audience’s right to receive creative material, information and ideas without interference, subject to restrictions in law.  It also recognises the right to private and family life and to freedom of thought, conscience and religion.)
We seek to uphold the BBC's Editorial Values in all we do.  They embody our freedoms and responsibilities and, like the Editorial Guidelines, apply to all our content, whether it is made by the BBC itself or by an independent company working for the BBC, and whether it is made for radio, television, online, mobile devices, interactive services or the printed wordWhat follows are challenging requirements, but they are essential to everything we do

The petition, which was started yesterday and so far has 444 signatures, says: ‘We, the undersigned, call Ofcom to fine the BBC for not challenging the racist comments made by David Starkey.
'We, the undersigned, call for Ofcom to have the BBC and David Starkey make a public apology for the unacceptable and racist statements made by David Starkey on the BBC's Newsnight.’ which he wear he broke the rule as bbc is and full well have aplogyed for.

Thankyou

Ayan Khaire.
