I'm writing my evaluation on the non editing clip. We were a given a scenario which was buying a drink to film without editing it afterwards. A lot of things went badly; where we were shooting, the canteen lady was being rude and we shot all what he had to do but there was no sound on the all clip. We had to redo all the film again but in a different location, because the trouble we had before. We also had to change the scenario to buying some crisps. Also we had problems with continuity of shots. When Iman was taking the crisps and putting the money down it wasn’t in order.
What went well was the second location, the acting, the over the shoulder shot, shot reverse shot and the line of vision when filming. It also had a bit of humour.
The advantages doing in camera are that it takes less time, and makes you a better cameraman/woman. By not editing the footage it makes you plan out what you’re filming. The disadvantages are that it can go wrong and you wont be able to edit it.
